We’re holding a special meeting to discuss the important new CSD trash ordinance with guest speaker Glenn on Tuesday, August 5th starting at 6 PM, in the evening at the Sugarloaf Fire Station. This meeting is in addition to our regular Saturday gatherings and is a great opportunity for more community members to attend and get informed.

Saturday, July 26 – “The Wild Robot”

Close out the summer series with a heart-warming adventure that’s perfect for dreamers big and small. The Wild Robot follows Roz, a robot who learns what it means to belong—an apt theme for our tight-knit mountain community. Gates open at 7 p.m.; the film rolls at sundown.

Bring layers for the cool evening air, your comfiest blanket or low-back chair, and a few bucks if you’d like concession goodies (cash only). As always, admission is free and all Big Bear Valley residents, visitors and four-legged friends on leash are welcome. 

Join us for a special meeting with Jessica from the Big Bear Alpine Zoo. We’re excited to learn about the zoo’s amazing wildlife, and—if all goes well—Jessica may be bringing an owl handler for a live bird demonstration!

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get up close with some incredible animals and learn more about local conservation efforts.

WE ARE TALKING TRASH this Saturday, January 27 at 10am at the Sugarloaf Fire Station.

Our guest speaker will be Glenn Jacklin, the NEW General Manager for CSD, who will share his vision for our community with regards to trash, sewer and water. Topics will include:

· Green waste removal options for CSD customers

· Managing wildlife and your trash cans

· Updates on California laws re: solid waste and recycling

· NEW SB County Supervisor funded drop off trash location for the East Valley

· And much more

Bring your questions and concerns and talk directly to the decision maker. ALL East Valley residents are welcome to attend!
